Introduce yourself in a few lines
I am 34 years old. I have a partner and we have 2 children.
I have an MBA in Risk Management from ESA in France and from ARM 54, and six years' experience in major accounts liability claims management (AIG and Gras Savoye). I joined SIACI SAINT HONORE in May 2013 as Civil Liability Production Account Manager. I am in charge of placements, contract management and consulting assignments in France and abroad.
I joined OLEA Togo at the end of 2017 as Deputy Managing Director and then Managing Director.
How did you join OLEA ?
Highly motivated by the idea of returning to my home country and bringing back the expertise I had acquired abroad, I had long been asking my employer to set up a subsidiary in Togo.
Then, in May 2017, I was lucky enough to meet Olivier Dubois and Olivier Canuel at the SIACI SAINT HONORE offices. We talked about Africa and the OLEA project. I immediately embraced the project, placing my full trust in the 2 founders, who subsequently supported me a great deal.
In July 2017, I met up with Olivier Dubois in Lomé to apply for approval, and two months later, in September 2017, the OLEA Togo adventure really began.
I received a lot of comments and questions in France about my choice to set up in Africa. While some people saw it as a risk, I saw it as a great opportunity. In my opinion, it was the next logical step, especially as I've always been convinced that Africa was going to play an important global role in the years to come.
It was a wonderful challenge because everything had to be created: offices, recruitment and initial prospecting.
Describe a typical day for a subsidiary MD of a pan-African company.
I don't think there's a typical day in the life of an insurance broker.
We do everything we can to provide quality services to our customers, to ensure that claims are paid by our insurance partners, and to do everything we can to ensure prompt reimbursement of healthcare costs for our OLEA Health policyholders. We also ensure the well-being of our employees, who work tirelessly every day for our customers and the Group.
How do you see yourself evolving within the OLEA Group?
Thanks to our transparency, dynamic team, technical expertise and innovative tools, we've been lucky enough to win the trust of our new customers. After four years, I'm proud of our progress and the strong growth in premiums managed by OLEA Togo, which ranks among the top 5 brokers in Togo. Above all, through innovation and the digitalization of insurance, I intend to make OLEA a key player and the leading insurance broker in Togo. I would welcome any new responsibilities my Chairman and Group Managing Director entrust to me.
