Beyond his impressive career, Fiifi also shares some advice and personal insights:

What advice would you give to young professionals aspiring to a similar career in the brokerage sector in Africa?
Success is never accidental. Reaching this stage in my career has been the result of preparation, hard work, humility, continuous learning, determination, a strong work ethic, and above all, the grace of God.
To young professionals, I would emphasize the importance of investing in both technical expertise and soft skills. Certifications are valuable, but true growth comes from building competence and striving for excellence in everything you do. Stay open to mentorship, serve diligently in every role, no matter how small, and never underestimate the power of consistency. And most importantly, carry integrity like your business card; it will open more doors than ambition alone ever could.

Can you reveal something about yourself that’s not in your CV?
It is the leadership and nurturing I received through my religious upbringing. I was raised in an Adventist environment that encouraged growth, service, and the pursuit of purpose. That foundation taught me to constantly improve, to serve wholeheartedly, and to ensure that my impact is felt wherever I go.
I am also passionate about sharing knowledge. Whether formally or informally, I often find myself mentoring or teaching others sometimes without even realizing it. It brings me great joy to see others grow through something I have shared, just as I continue to learn from those around me. And on a lighter note, I am a big fan of good music; it keeps me grounded, inspired, and connected to the rhythm of life.

Nana Kwakyewa Boatey, Head of Operations, OLEA Ghana Nana Boatey joined OLEA Ghana in April 2022 as a Manager in the Operations department and quickly stood out for her efficiency and leadership, leading to her well-deserved promotion.

As a seasoned insurance professional, Nana brings over a decade of experience in underwriting, claims’ management, customer relations and risk management. She is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner (ACII – UK & Ghana) and holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification.

Before joining OLEA Ghana, Nana held senior roles at ASCOMA Insurance Advisor and Broker, Ghana and Prime Insurance, where she oversaw the claims, risk and operations functions.

Committed and inspiring, Nana shares with us what drives her every day:

Do you have any advice for women aspiring to leadership positions?
The path to leadership can be challenging, especially for women navigating male-dominated spaces. But challenges often shape the most resilient, thoughtful leaders.

Invest in yourself professionally and personally. Seek out mentors, build networks, and be intentional about developing both technical and soft skills. Don’t wait for permission to lead, start where you are, use your voice, and take initiative.

Also, remember that leadership is not just about titles. It’s about influence, service, and the ability to create lasting impact. As women rise, we must open doors and create opportunities for the next generation of leaders to step forward with confidence. My advice is to believe in your value, lead with authenticity, and commit to continuous growth.

Are there any causes or social initiatives that are particularly close to your heart?
I’m especially passionate about mentoring and empowering young women. I believe in supporting them to build confidence, pursue their goals boldly, and recognize their potential to lead in any space they choose. With the right mentorship and opportunities, young women can become powerful agents of change.

I’m also deeply committed to creating workplaces where women, especially mothers, can thrive without having to choose between professional success and family life. This means advocating for flexible policies, psychological safety, and inclusive leadership. When organizations support women holistically, they foster innovation, resilience, and more empathetic leadership across the board.
For me, true impact isn’t just about hitting targets; it’s about how we uplift people and contribute meaningfully to a more equitable and sustainable future.
