From 9-11 February 2026, OLEA participated in the 50th General Assembly of FANAF (Fédération des Sociétés d’Assurances de Droit National Africaines), a key gathering for the African insurance market, held at the Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan.

FANAF remains the continent’s leading platform for dialogue, bringing together insurers, reinsurers, brokers, regulators and technical partners to address the structural challenges and opportunities shaping the African insurance landscape.

The 50th General Assembly focused on African market priorities
This milestone edition placed the sector’s key issues at the centre of discussions. These highlighted:

  • The strategic role of insurance in strengthening states’ financial sovereignty
  • The governance and regulatory frameworks required to support sustainable growth and reinforce trust
  • New growth drivers aimed at expanding offerings, fostering innovation and promoting inclusion across the continent

OLEA engaged in strategic market dialogue
As a pan-African insurance broker, OLEA actively contributed to these discussions, reaffirming its commitment to supporting clients in increasingly complex risk environments.

FANAF remains a key opportunity to engage with our teams, partners and clients. It provides a platform to share our vision of a more accessible, high-performing and structured insurance market across Africa.

At the heart of the OLEA stand: Interaction, engagement and discovery
At the entrance to our stand, our three-meter-high giraffe mascot welcomed participants and immediately captured attention, symbolising our ability to take a step back, gain perspective and anticipate risk.

Alongside the giraffe, LUDOLEA offered an interactive and engaging way to explore professional risks:

  • Participants tested their knowledge and exchanged views on practical risk scenarios
  • Each session became an opportunity to reflect on corporate risk management practices
  • Visitors left with gifts showcasing local Ivorian products, extending the experience beyond the event.

This event enabled OLEA to combine strategic positioning and innovation, while further strengthening
its ties within the African insurance ecosystem.
